Baby Jane Made a Difference

Pet Type: Dog

Breed: Chihuahua

Adopted: (Staten Island)

Rescued From: Pluto

Passed: Monday, 23 December 2013 (Staten Island)

Baby Jane came to live with us when her mom went into the hospital. We were only supposed to have her for a short while. Baby Jane was at that time an overweight senior. She was sometimes cranky and sometimes bit you if you were annoying her. She had health issues when she came to stay with us. We knew her time was limited. But, we also thought she would be going home to her mom one day. Baby Jane waddled her way into our hearts. But, her time with us was short. She had many health issues and was probably about 15 years old. When she went to the rainbow bridge the day before Christmas Eve, our hearts were broken. So hard to believe that a dog who did not belong to us could have made such an impact on our lives. Her stay with us, led us to fostering. Because of her, other dogs lives have been saved. Baby Jane, we will always love you!

Favorite Thing To Do: Sleep

Most Mischievous Moment: Biting her mom when she went to visit her in the nursing home

Best Moment: She loved to go for walks with the other dogs in the park. But, she had such a hard time keeping up. She tried so hard, and always had a smile on her face. even when we finally had to put her in a bag and carry her the rest of the way
