The saying is "a dog is mans best friend," I may not be a man but my best friend too was a dog. A 16 year long friendship, demolished the second I heard the last cry from my Millie in the veterinarians office. As a young puppy, Millie would never leave my side. Whether it was in the backyard climbing up the ladder to go down the slide with me or sitting underneath my high chair in order to catch my scraps I would so generously throw to her, she was always there. She was there for me throughout all my biggest triumphs and even my worst defeats. Always knowing when I would need that little extra love and support, she would climb into my bed and snuggle up next to me so I would know everything was going to be okay. Millie would make you feel love in ways no humans love would ever be able to compare too. There wasn't one mean bone in her body, prepared to sleep next to any person who took the smallest nap on our couch there were so many people that had loved our puppy so many people that she had touched just by being there for them when they most needed it. Millie was truly a blessing to this world and everyone who was fortunate enough to know and play with her.

Favorite Thing To Do: Her favorite thing to do was to sit in the window and watch all the people walk by.

Most Mischievous Moment: My mom had made chicken cutlets and left them on the counter before we left to go out. Upon arriving home, Millie was out of her pen on top of the counter with a huge piece of chicken cutlet in her mouth.

Best Moment: There were too many to choose from but when she first climbed up the ladder on the play set and went down the slide by herself.

Favorite Toy: Anything you can play tug of war with.

When I tore my ACL and was forced to stay in bed for a while, Millie would climb next to me each night and lay right next to my injured knee. She knew something was wrong and made sure to protect me. I'll never forget that for as long as I live.
